But there was a vast time for the students to acuminate their potentialities in this period.MSLP(Marketing Society for Leadership Proliferation), is the club of the Department of Marketing, University of Chittagong.MSLP felt that the students of the department should use the time to ensure the proper use of the quarantine period.
As a result, MSLP took a lot of interesting initiatives that will help the students of the Department of Marketing to enrich their knowledge and capabilities.
In the middle of April, MSLP launched a virtual competition named E-Spiders. It was an intra-department competition and on the first step, there was a quiz and report writing competition part where most junior batch participated. The 2nd part was for case solving and branding. In this part, the students of the Marketing department from 2nd year to final year participated spontaneously. The adjudicators of the competitions were so experienced about the respective topics. At the first pace, the adjudicators were the former students of the department who are now in the multinational sector in their professional life, and in the second pace, the adjudicators were the faculties of the department.
After a hard competition, the winner had been selected and the most interesting part was that the whole competition was held virtually. The participants of the competitions had to submit their files by email and they gave their presentation through Zoom. On one hand, it was tough for them communicating thoroughly over the web but on the other hand, it helped them to be used in the communication system of new-normal life.
After completing this successful intra-department competition, MSLP came with a new virtual program named "Reach Out". The theme of the program was to make a connection between experts and students so that students get the real-life scenario from the experts.
It was a problem-solving kind of an endeavor. The core problems and questions were the issues the prominent speakers discussed that a business faculty's student has. The requirements of unleashing core potentials in different sectors were unveiled in different episodes.
Besides, that MSLP invited keynote speakers from bKash and Banglalink to give an overview of that market-leading companies.
Learning is a continuous process and MSLP tries to furnish the zeal of learning of the respective students and in the future, it will come with more informative and interactive activities that will enrich their potentialities.
